Making and designing a website when you don't have the technical knowledge and proper education on website design is obviously the most difficult and daunting task a man could muster. With so much to think about and less time of doing it seems to be the reason why this website has gone through major renovation and constant changes for more than three years already. Keeping it afloat and maintaining it adds to the pressure of whether or not I should continue developing it.

Lately, I've been having some serious thoughts of revamping the whole site because of a pressing need which I believe to be of much importance. Sharing it online for the world to know seems to be the most practical answer to the dilemma I've been facing right now. Regardless of the impact and repercussion this will create and the rippling effect which could negatively affect some people I know, I somehow gathered all the strength I need to present my case to the world.

Before I proceed, I want you to pay me a visit to my "About" page for a better acquaintance of who I am. I endeavor to make myself known with all simplicity, clarity and honesty so that I could build in you the trust which I definitely need.

Next in my menu which is worthy of your perusal is the "Ministries" link. For more than a decade now, I manage to do an insurmountable job of doing my music and campus ministry despite the lack of support from my Christian colleagues and brethren of like faith. Clicking "Ministries" is recommended if you do want to discover all the ins and outs of my independent work.

My "Blog" caters anyone who wants to be updated on anything that has to do with me personally and my ministries. I intend to do some weekly and monthly updates. My prayer is for you to welcome me into your life by gaining access to my private life through this site so as to build some form of relationship and to maximize support despite the limited potential the world wide web could so offer in this area.

There might also be a need of sharing with you a couple of what I could do technically through my "Services" link. If you're looking for help on some online-based services, you might consider my knowledge on practical stuff for a very affordable fee or donation, if you like.

If you desire to "Contact" me, please do so by clicking the link. Be rest assured that you will hear from me personally in the earliest possible time. There is nothing more exciting than to know of some people who visits my site and walking the extra mile by simply contacting me by phone, email, snail mail, or by just clicking the "Contact Me" link and using the online form for instant contact.

My "Forum" is nothing but a realtime hub of discussion and exchanging of ideas with people I know or even with my new acquaintances and visitors. You just need to be registered for FREE by clicking "Forum" and find the link "register here". If you want your ideas to be heard or if you like to know me better, please do visit my forum.

"Donate." That seems to be a repugnant word nowadays. Asking for money with nothing in return is a very common trend offline or online, to be exact. This practice has been pretty much abused by just anyone who wants to make a living out of the generosity of many. That's why, to lessen the negative implication of asking or "begging" online, I purposively registered with a "funding platform" to make the process more formal and professional. Please access the "Donate" link if you desire to help my cause financially.

Who doesn't want "Freebies?" I do. I've been a recipient of freebies, mostly of free magazines and books from around the world. Yes, they are free, and available for the asking. Just click the "Freebies" link and you will be directed to a page full of clickable links to websites that offers the same.

Last in line is my "Links" link. If you're pretty much a researcher or newbie in the world of search engine, my "Link" page would somehow assist you find some of the topics that interest you the most. Make use of it and, believe me, you're in for an exciting ride! Want to know some top secret and classified information purposively hidden from you by the government? Or are you trying to find some educational electronic books but to no avail? We have it here. Try my "Links" link today!

About

I am Elezer Banaag Lake. My name's originally Eliezer with an "i". I was named after a Biblical character whose name means "servant." Because of some mistake made by the civil registrar, that single letter was omitted so my birth certificate depicts a name different from what my name was meant to be. I used "Eliezer" though all through out my college years. Only when I processed my application for the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) in 1999 did I forced myself to use the name in my birth certificate making it a costly ordeal because of some legal issues that needs to be resolved right away.

I am the fourth child out of five siblings. I was born last August 12, 1977 so that makes me an old man already. Still single and with my situation, I'll give you all the benefit of a doubt. If you'd ask about my personal opinion, I found it to be advantageous to stay single for a while because of my ministries which, I believe, needs some undivided attention and focus. Anyway, you have your own opinion on matters regarding marriage. I respect that. Really.

As of this moment, I've been actively involved in both music and campus ministries. Ten years is still not enough to prove my worth. I still have so many things to learn. I still lack the needed maturity in many areas.

My desire to minister with young people, especially with high school and college students started in 1993, that's when I was still in 3rd year high school. With our subject teacher, we started forming a fellowship in our classroom once a week. That ends well until our graduation.

It took me six years to make a formal decision to start my own ministry immediately after I finished college in 1999. I started doing it at Central Mindanao University and a couple of years later at Bukidnon State College, now as Bukidnon State University. I also managed to open the ministry to high school students at Bukidnon National High School and has been a mentor to some young leaders to open their own campus ministries in their localities.

As regards to leadership, I've been a local church youth president in 1993 and has moved up the ladder of leadership to become the regional youth president of our organization, the Association of Ministers in the Philippines, Inc., around 1998. I served the regional department for one term and in 2001, I was elected as the national youth president. I served the national office for seven years, that is, until 2008. That ended well and immediately after that I was also absorbed as a Bible school teacher at Dalwangan Theological Seminary, City of Malaybalay in November 2008. I've been honorably discharged from service after one year and a half. I then decided to focus in the campus ministry ever since.

I finished my Bachelor of Elementary Education in 1999 and passed the Licensure Examination for Teacher one year after. Because my college education was done through distance learning, I successfully finished my Bible School training for two years at Dalwangan Theological Seminary in 1998. That was hitting two birds in one stone, as they say.

Applying for a teaching position in a public institution is indeed a daunting and compromising task. But, of course, I tried to apply in my division but was discouraged to proceed for some intriguing reason. Anyway, I did receive an invitation in 2001 to teach in a private school duly administered by Pastor Danny Timario at Jasaan, Misamis Oriental. That also went well for one year and a half.

I've also done a short term pastoral service in one of the barangays of Malaybalay City where I reside today. Because of some limitations, I only made it as a visiting pastor, instead of becoming a resident pastor. I decided with much prayer that this task is not for me. That also ends well for one year and a half.

As I analyzed the whole thing for the past few years, I saw a repetitive pattern in my years of service. As a Bible school teacher, one year and a half. As a Private school teacher, one year and a half. As a local church Pastor, one year and a half. Three (3) one year and a half must be something. I still am intrigued until today of what implication it brings to my life. Surely, it has some spiritual significance.

The truth of the matter is that I have no formal training in music. All I have is a pure love in singing and when I was still a child, as far as I can remember, I've been singing a lot. My older brothers had been teasing me every now and then but that did not discouraged me from singing.

I loved attending the music class of Mrs. Elsie Condeza at Dalwangan Theological Seminary even before I started my elementary school years and eventually, I learned to master the solfa syllable in so short a time. Even today, even without any musical instruments, I've been writing songs just by using the solfa syllable.

Do you know the irony of it? I've been very poor in learning how to play the guitar. I owed my lack of interest in guitar because of financial constraints and we can't even afford to have one. That's why until today, even if I may have the resources, I just don't have the interest to buy one for me.

I started writing some simple lines and making tune when I was still studying in the Bible School in 1996 and has never stopped from then on. Little did I know that I'll be one of the official songwriter of GFirst Band, the first musical band recognized by our organization.

Our first album utilized the praise and worship genre in a vernacular format. That was 2001 when we released the album and some of my songs were made favorite by our local churches until today. I praise God for that. Our second album has just been released late this year. It's a combination of Praise & Worship and Contemporary genre in vernacular, that is, mostly in Tagalog language.
